Public Transport

In Greifswald you can use buses of the Muncipial Transport Services. The route network is quite good. Tickets are available at several shops, please follow the link below. Single use, day, weekly and monthly tickets are also obtained from the bus driver.

If you want to go further outside Greifswald you may take the train, especially the UBB – Usedomer Bäderbahn (Usedom’s Seaside Trains) provides good service to get to Stralsund and the Isle of Usedom. Deutsche Bahn offer "Schönes-Wochenende-Tickets" which are great value. There are also "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Tickets", again good value. Long-distance coaches
Long distance coaches have become popular and they are an alternative to travelling by train.
In Greifswald three operators offer trips e.g. to Berlin and Hamburg, where you can change coaches for cities in- and outside Germany. In Rostock you change coaches to go to Denmark and Sweden.
